Title: Strengthening Families CoordinatorJob Description:
The Strengthening Families Coordinator, a part-time position, will support the ongoing programming of the Strengthening Families Initiative through volunteer management and teen room programming coordination. Using Microsoft Office suite and volunteer coordination software, the Strengthening Families Coordinator will volunteer programming and SF ongoing maintenance/needs. Engaging the community in understanding the SF program via guided tour presentations. Due to the fluid nature of both the programs and the position, other duties and tasks may be assigned as necessary. Education: High school degree/G.E.D. and some continued education related to non-profit and/or education. Associates Degree and/or relevant experience with teens/youth preferred.
Hours: Typical week includes 10:30am – 7pm Tuesday through Thursdays with additional afternoon hours Monday or Friday and sporadic events outside of these hours, as well.

Title: STEMPossible Program Afterschool AdvisorJob Description:
The STEMPossible Program Advisor will implement the curriculum provided with the guidance of the local structural engineer and the Director of Collective Impact, as well as lead middle school students in an online STEM Competition. Using the curriculum, assistance and guidance through monthly meeting from advisors at the Second Ward Initiative STEMPossible Club, the STEM Program Advisor will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment, engaging the audience, and inspiring creativity and curiosity in students. Education: STEM background/position or STEM degree
- Excellent communication skills, especially with children.
- Engaging and passionate regarding STEM programs.
- Works well individually and in a team setting.
- Great management and supervision skills.
- Some work experience or background that involves science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Experience with children preferred.
Hours: 4 hours/week for 36 weeks with a potentional to be under or over these hours
